I have given up my soles for trail running. No more cushy shoes.
Stronger feet - new form.
A new running style and approach. Getting down to the basics - the
barbaric approach. A quest for something perfect - primal. To find
that perfect efficiency in running (the run-forever kind) - the way
running is supposed to be: feet moving through the forest across the
mountains - nothing but effortless fluid motion, breath, and focus -
in pursuit, ... pursuit of that perfect run.
Soul to the run, run for the soul.

Good to meet you on the trail this morning. Great that your wife is out running with you. I went up to the top of the loop, down Willow Hollow, through Salamander Flat and back to my car on GWT (TR150 I think). Great morning for a run - the rain was a nice touch.

We just started trail running. Our first was From the Alpine loop summit up horsetail flats then left and loop around back to the parking. About three miles. 2nd Deer creek south fork. 3rd last night. From timpanooke follow GWT to Julie andrews meadows, back down to road and then to parking, About 5 miles. I love the blog, thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat site Thayne. I'm up in the Draper/Corner Canyon area running these trails...would love to start a similar blog.
ReplyDeleteJust read this post and wondered if you are a fan of Mark Sisson and his Primal Blueprint and blog (marksdailyapple.com) if not, I think you would like his stuff.
