Ah - Good Times

Ran 26 miles from Southfork Deer Creek Trail (at road to Cascade Springs) to Cedar Hills via Tibble Fork and then up and around south side of Box Elder Peak (3,600ft climb to 10,000 ft) and around to Dry Canyon, then on the North Mountain Trail down into Alpine, then the long run home on dirt trails on the bench.

Overall I felt good for 26 miles - one of my better runs.  It was slow, though I wasn't in a hurry - just enjoying the mountains. 26 miles with about 6,500 ft of climbing overall.  I'll post pictures and map later.

- happy running -

  1. Ran up Timpooneke for a 5 mile run. Gorgeous morning. Trail had more mud than I remember from previous years - some work might need to be done to divert the water in places off of the trail. Several campers and a good number of hikers - I was surprised at the number of folks up there on a Wed. morning. But still very glad I went. -Emerson

  2. Hello Thayne,

Good to see you on the trail this morning. I had seen your blog before while searching for current Timp trail conditions. I had a great run today. 2:02 to the top, several stops on the way down to spend time with family members hiking and to enjoy the views. Total time 4:16. I feel good but not great, legs cramped up on the drive home, almost had to pull over. Look forward to a report on your run.
