The Dews of the Canyon

I decided to invert the profile today, just to get that GC Crossing feel to the 8.7 mile run this morning - start fast and end on a climb, ...but with only 3,200ft elevation gain.  I started at the Alpine Loop Summit TH and ran down Pine Hollow to the road crossing at Mutual Dell then up Bear Hollow to the Great Western Trail past Timpooneke and on back up to the Summit via Horse Flat Trail.

The rainy dew was out this morning, running with wet legs - but the trails weren't that bad in terms of mud.  It rained like crazy last night for quite a while, but seemed to all have soaked in by 6am this morning.  It was a quiet canyon this morning - probably because of the fear of mud.  The air was perfectly moist and cool - it's a nice change from dry and dusty and hot.

Bear Hollow up from Mutual Dell, must have been cleaned of loose rock lately - it was tight with no loose stuff.

-happy running-
